President Goodluck Jonathan, on Monday, honoured Bill Gates, a
co-Chairman of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with a national
honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR).
Mr Jonathan said the honour was in recognition of his support towards
the eradication of Poliomyelitis in Nigeria; adding that he would be
conferred with the national honour alongside other awardees in
December.
Mr Gates has, through his foundation, been involved in several
interventions for the eradication of polio in Nigeria.
On Monday, the billionaire and Nigerian officials presented awards to
the seven governors of states which won the 2012 Immunisation
