Okorocha's Wife Shuts Down IMSU, Indefinitely Postpone Matriculation For Mrs Buhari’s Visit!

Ahead of Mrs Buhari’s Visit to Imo state and in a bid to hire students' crowds from the state owned university, the wife of Imo state governor, Nkechi Okorocha has ordered for the indefinite postponement of the already scheduled matriculation ceremony of the institution billed to take place on 6th of February to a yet to be known date.
According to insider sources, the governor's wife gave the directives following the visit of the wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, into the state.

Our source has it that the governor's wife did so in order to moblize crowds from the institution that will welcome the wife of the ex-Dictator to the state.

As a result of governor Okorocha's wife academically unfriendly orders, the students who have already planed and worked for the fixed date for matriculation will be forced to rescind and those who must have prepared dishes ahead of their matriculation ceremony will be forced to waste their scarce resources and foods.

The VC of the institution, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, who initially differed with the governor’s wife directives because of Buhari’s wife visit was fiercely threatened with sacks and other untoward consequences before he agreed with the governor’s wife orders.

Political pundits in the state have queried if whether the governor and his wife will be able to demobilise the students after using and moblizing the students as failures to demobilise them may constitute to security issues judging from what happened few days back in the state when Okorocha and his aides failed to demobilise IMSU students they had hired for a road show- the fallout turned sour and metamorphiesed into full deadly violence as street lights and campaign billboards of the governor was destroyed by rampaging students.
NewsDay Reporters recalls that Okorocha's hired students later went against him when he failed to pay them their agreed stipends for the road show.

When Prof. Ukachukwu Awazie, the Vice chancellor of Imo state university, IMSU, was contacted by NewsDay Reporters to make comments on the latest developments in his institution, he simply declined making any comment so as not to get the governor's wife irked.
